Indianapolis-based Harpist

Harpist Melissa Gallant delights audiences with her elegant interpretations of classics and contemporary favorites.

Melissa performs on a hand carved Lyon and Healy concert grand harp. Her instrument’s Victorian era detailing fits in beautifully with historic venues, and its natural resonance provides ample volume for weddings, commitment ceremonies, showers, and other small gatherings. Melissa’s artistry on the harp also lends itself to holiday gatherings, church services, funerals and memorial services. Electronic sound enhancement is available if needed for large gatherings like wedding receptions and cocktail parties.

Melissa developed her artistry through studies at Indiana University’s world renowned harp department. She also earned a Masters in harp performance at Butler University. Over 30 years of professional playing experience has broadened her repertoire to include pop and jazz standards as well as classical and romantic gems.

Melissa has a wealth of performing experience playing in a wide-range of situations from concert halls to hotels, stores, churches, funeral homes, schools, and private residences.

A Harpist with Variety & Integrity

“Really nice job on the concert last night! There was so much variety and integrity. I really enjoyed your playing and that of your two colleagues. Your explanations were also spot on and quite interesting… Looking forward to making music together one of these days hopefully soon!”

-Nick Palmer, Music Director, Lafayette Symphony (IN)
